FinTech FFM Meetup 2: IoT and FinTech – from separate megatrends toward a "Bank of Things"?

Yassin and Felix are inviting you to the next FinTech FFM Meetup. This event is organized in cooperation with Frankfurt’s IoT MeetUp.
Confirmed speakers:
• Jochen Siegert (Traxpay) on the payment revolution/B2B commerce
• Sönke Liebau (Elasticsearch User Group Frankfurt) on ATM monitoring
Both the Internet of Things and Financial Technology (FinTech) are often referred to as “game changers”, “disruptive”, “revolutionary” or “megatrends”. Whatever labels they are given, both are poised for enormous growth, and it is worth exploring their synergies and if and how they could help each other grow even faster.
According to a recent survey by Verizon, 13 percent of banks are currently implementing an IoT/M2M solution. Banks such as the Deutsche Bank show a growing interest in what they no longer call “M2M”, but “Internet of Things”. The consulting company Accenture has published a paper on how financial services might benefit from the IoT, calling this vision „Bank of Things“.
As a meetup based in Europe’s financial capital, the organizers team is thrilled to dedicate the September event to a possible synthesis of Internet of Things and financial technologies. Topics include:
Big Data & analytics
mobile banking & payment
risk management
ATM monitoring
