The Role
We’re looking for a talented web frontend developer to build complex web applications for the CloudRail technology. You should be passionate about new technology and doing things in a new way.
Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the design and implementation of modern, responsive front-end application(s) from conception through implementation
- Build new tools / systems that delight users and make their life easier
- Take full responsibility for the apps and services you build, end to end
- Constant cycle of evaluating current tools sets and emerging technologies
- Seek out methods of improving services to our customer community through internal or external tools
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and write tests for and look after the “health” of our platform
- Dive into the entire platform and get to know it as it is the only way you will be able to assist other teams. You also fix little bugs, including the ones that no one else can handle
Desired Skills / Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computational Science or equivalent discipline
- Highly motivated frontend developer with at least 1 years of experience of developing commercial software products with Java, JEE, HTML, CSS and/or JavaScript
- Expert in frontend architecture and working with modular applications and keen to optimise the performance of new and existing features to ensure scalability
- Interpreting graphic visual or interaction designs in HTML, CSS and Javascript.
- Creating visually appealing interfaces and user experiences
- Testing cross-browser, cross-platform, and/or cross-device compatibility for inconsistencies.
- You have high standards for beautiful code. Our tools will change as CloudRail grows, so maintainability is paramount
- Fluent English language skills (written and spoken) or/and very good German language skills

CloudRail is VC funded startup headquartered in Mannheim, famous for its world-shaking inventions, creative citizens and outstanding infrastructure. Our office is located in the MAFINEX-Technologiezentrum, a technology centre that offers optimal opportunities for technologically oriented start-ups and young, innovative companies.
