These factors are even more important in times like these during a global crisis and the uncertainty of its impact on the entire global economy. Entrepreneurial thinking and actions are now, more than ever, in demand. Fresh thinkers who can adapt to change and can keep their nerve are the new heroes of the startup world.

Interestingly, many of these qualities can also be found in sports but how can it be transmitted to the business sector? Can the same mental strength that is needed for sport also serve as an orientation for the start-up phase? How can adaptability and self-confidence be transferred from a sporting level to a professional level? Let’s explore those questions.

TechQuartier and Eintracht Frankfurt invite you to join our 12th and first digital edition of Laptop & Leibchen. We will talk about mental strength, flexibility and self-confidence in entrepreneurship, why these qualities are so important for the startup scene and what we can learn from sport in this context. We are extremely happy to announce that Katharina Bauer and Thomas Biermann will join the conversation.

Katharina Bauer was one of Germany’s best pole vaulters until she received a diagnosis that changed her life, but did not stop her spirit. She stayed strong and fought her way back to the very top. Today she is the first pole vaulter on an international level with a defibrillator.

Thomas Biermann is a business consultant, innovation lover, golf professional and co-founder of Lofino, an application for employee benefits. He loves to try out new things and has been developing various projects in different industries for several years.
