As part of its Accelerator activities, EIT Health provides funding for early stage companies and SMEs to develop new products and services. These should fit to the overall EIT Health thematic scope, “Healthy Living, Active Ageing, Improved Healthcare”.
The EIT Health Headstart Funding Programme is suitable for micro and small enterprises, including spin-offs and start-ups that have a well-developed prototype and are ready to launch a product. The company must be incorporated/registered before the subgranting agreement initiation. A maximum EIT Health contribution of €50 000 can be requested for each project.
Applications are managed via Optimy. After the application deadline, 12 startups will be selected and invited to a pitch competition on 22 October 2018 in Mannheim as part of the EIT Health Germany Annual Symposium. At the end of the pitch competition 4 startups will be awarded with the EIT Health Headstart grant.
