Counting down: one month for the EBSpreneurship 2017

Counting down: one month for the EBSpreneurship 2017

As we are one month away from EBSpreneurship, we decided to have a small talk with Anneka Schmidt, the Head of Event.
Anneka EBS
RMS: Anneka, could you present the event that you are organizing, EBSpreneurship 2017, for those who don´t know it?
The EBSpreneurship Forum is Europe’s leading student-run entrepreneurship congress taking place on September 15th and 16th. Founders, investors, students, and many more gather right here in Oestrich-Winkel, on EBS University’s own Campus Schloss. Every participant experiences true entrepreneurial spirit right in one of the most beautiful locations Germany has to offer, surrounded by the Rhine and beautiful vineyards. Everyone keen on listening to fascinating speakers, participating in informative workshops, and talking to inspiring personalities from all over Europe, cannot pass on this unique opportunity!
RMS: For those who have been in previous editions, is there something new or very distinct waiting for them this year?
There will be informative panel discussions about the Future of Mobility, Influencer Marketing, and Disruptive Technology. Our Idea Challenge will take place on Friday night, where early stage startups will pitch their ideas to a jury of renowned investors and founders and win awesome prices.
Another event, making the EBSpreneurship Forum 2017 very special this year, is our Hackathon hosted by the online newspaper platform Merkurist. Teams of young coders and entrepreneurs battle each other in trying to solve a challenging task.
RMS: As we have an audience of Startups and Investors, is there something that you would like to emphasize to convince them to join?
Definitely the Idea Challenge on Friday night! For Startups, who want to participate, and win the great prices themselves, simply purchase your founder’s ticket and send us an e-mail with a short application introducing yourself and your idea to ideachallenge@ebspreneurship.de.
RMS: The event takes place in Oestrich-Winkel close to Rudesheim, but you have people coming from different cities and from different nationalities, isn´t it?
Yes, we have Students, Startups and Investors joining the Congress in the middle of the Rheingau from all over Germany but also from all over Europe, as for example from Sweden, England, the Netherlands or Italy.
RMS: Which are your expectations in terms of a number of attendees and outcomes?
This year we are aiming at welcoming about 500-600 participants on our campus and of course we look forward to seeing every one of you on September 15th and 16th at the EBSpreneurship Forum 2017!
Side note, for students, this year’s EBSpreneurship Forum brings you exciting opportunities as many interesting companies are on the lookout for new talent.
Send in your CV and get the chance to get an exclusive interview with them.
This year among the companies recruiting on campus are Amazon, ProSiebenSat.1Media, Daimler, Humanoo, Emma Matratze and many more.
So don’t miss your chance and send in your CV to cv@ebspreneurship.de today!
